CDL Truck Driver

The CDL Truck Driver must work safely and productively on various sized project sites. A successful candidate in this role must be highly motivated and willing to complete any task assigned, along with performing the essential duties of the CDL Truck Driver position. All employees are expected to communicate, build relationships with other team members and use good judgment at all times. The CDL Truck Driver is expected to have the ability to perform all duties of the positions preceding it in its specific career path, while being responsible and accountable to complete any other tasks assigned.

Training & Certifications


  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Commerical Drivers License (Class A)
  • DOT Medical Card


  • First Aid / CPR
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • WBI Aerial Lift Certification



  • Basic level communication (Reading, writing & comprehending technical documents, safety regulations, responding to questions from managers / coworkers, checklists, etc.)
  • Detail Orientation (Ability to pay attention to details in order to follow instructions and execute work in accordance to specifications and safety / quality standards)
  • Interpreting GPS road maps
  • Interpreting service / operators manuals
  • Intermediate level reasoning (Ability to comprehend and carry out verbal or written instructions while understanding how to problem solve and complete task(s) when dealing with up to three variables)
  • Entry level planning / organizing (Ability to plan a daily work schedule and communicate the daily objectives to coworkers while organizing tasks by priority to meet deadlines)


  • Transport equipment / material from company facilities to jobsites or rental company locations
  • Load and unload equipment / material
  • Chain / strap equipment & material to trailer for transport
  • Measure height of equipment / material loaded on trailer to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Perform pre-operation maintenance and safety checks for operated vehicles / trailers
  • Pickup / Deliver parts for service center
  • Wash vechicles and equipment when not assigned to other duties
  • Remove built-up dirt and debris from dump truck beds
  • Assist as needed in service center when not assigned to other duties
  • Verify equipment / material loaded for transport matches the work order items
  • Assist with development and implementation of pre-task safety plans

Physical Working Conditions


  • - Working outdoors exposed to changing temperatures & weather conditions
  • - Exposed to loud noises
  • - Walking & riding on uneven terrain
  • - Wearing personal protective equipment
  • Traveling by land or air & staying out of town overnight
  • - 40 to 60 hour work week
  • - Lifting, carrying & moving up to 90 lbs
